About the Trip

Last weekend we visited Sri Pandaripura Shetra along with a group of 500 persons. People had come from Bangalore,Madurai and Chennai. The organisers had done an excellent job as they had taken care even finer details like booking trains to and fro and accommadation ,Food etc., with careful advance planning and good team work. We had a very good darshan of Lord Sri Panduranga and Sri Rukmani in the backdrop of Namasankritan and Abangs. We also had a holydip at Chandra Baha River.

I AM BACK

For the last two and half months,I was very busy with my daughters exam and college admission, going to my native place to see my grandfathers house.(150 years old). The images of my grandfathers house

After coming back did health checkup and doctor advised to change my life style in eating habits.i.e.,Timely eating instead I didn"t.Now I am practicing little by little to eat at regular time and healthy food.
So far I didn't touch my WIp's.I am planning to finish one by one ,meanwhile some of my blog friends asked about the Basting spray used in my last post.
Basting spray is used for sticking the three layers.I bought this from Singapore.I dont know whether it is available in Bangalore

Quilting

This is my first project in quilting.I used the cloth available at home to make these patches.

After a lot of confusion I finally arranged these pieces and made 9 patch format and sandwiched these pieces by wadding and backing cloth and used  Basting spray.

Before starting to quilt I want to try free motion quilting and this is the result. For quilting I used Quilting foot .

Finally I completed my project .Though it was difficult to stitch in the machine loved the final outcome and before ironing I posted it.

Crochet V stitch

I was not able to post or view my dashboard last week.I think all of you have the same problem.I used V stitch which is very easy and fast and used it for car seat back. But I think the colour is not matching isn't it?

However I could do some finishing touches to my old project on saree and blouse.

Kadai Kamal Embroidery

Another project finished long ago,
Alternate cross stitch

After completing this Iam amazed with its appearence as gem studed work. This will go well with silk saree blouses.

And an old piece ,for the sake of design I am keeping this piece

Anchor thread three strands used for this and satin stitch for leaves.Mirror work and beads in centre.   I have started kutchwork in my daughters dress, will post it later.
